Hi there.

I didn't find any suitable post which explains "how to route using a cable car/gondola".

Here's one example: http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/104203846 I've tried to route on a bike or even by foot using this gondola. I've inserted the aerialway:bicycle=yes, but while routing...doesn't work. Can you please help me?

Thanks! Filipe

Which router are you using?

Actually, routing at Opensnowmap allows you to route through cable cars, but from there, you have to take skis to continue, so I am not sure it helps you in this particular case :(

I assume that the database for routing does not include aerialways, hence routing over them is not possible.

Thanks escada.

I'm using all the routing systems from OSM (GraphHopper or Mapzen - riding or walking). That's weird because I can route through ferries, even on trains (like the Eurotunnel) but no cable cars???

How can we change it?

create bug reports for each of the routers. I think that modifying the data (and keeping it correct), is not possible.

For GraphHopper you can create a request at https://github.com/graphhopper/graphhopper/issues

http://brouter.de/brouter-web/ is quite customizable, maybe it can support something like that?
