Hi,

I saw on trails that colors and lines are different (blue and brown) but the attributes Highway are the same (Highway=path).

Can you explain to me please ?

Thanks.

Can you link to the data in OSM that shows this? I bet you'll find that there are different tags on the ways involved, and that the difference is relevant to cyclists ...

OpenCycleMap has a map key here: https://opencyclemap.org/docs/

I'm guessing you are talking about highway=footway features. They are brown by default but change to blue if there is a bicycle=yes tag on it.

Ok I understand. But there is "autorized access" section in edit mod (on website) and on 332413510 trail ( https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/332413510 ), bike mention is yes. The color stays brown on this trail.

Is it necessary to add Bike tag yes in addition to Bike mention yes in autorized access ?

Way 332413510? bicycle=yes is implicit for highway=path. But it looks like OpenCycleMap renders highway=path without explicit bicycle access tags in the same way as bicycle=no. This might be intentional since absent access tags can either mean that the default values apply or that access restrictions are currently unknown. It can't hurt to add bicycle=yes here.

Personally I wouldn't assume that bicycle=yes for a highway=path. It may be the case, but it's more likely that a mapper simply hasn't added more detail. I know that is what https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:highway%3Dpath says, but it's simply not representative of how mappers map things - I'd say that what OpenCycleMap is doing here is correct.

I try to add bike=yes tag on this trail, we will see after updates.
