I have recommended OSM to a family running a small business who wish to add maps to their website, offering local walks from their premises. My knowledge of OSM is limited to its use and the contributions I make. My knowledge of working with websites is zero. Does OsmAnd help in this regard, or can anyone offer something suitable for this requirement that I can pass on? What file formats are required, typically? asked 15 Aug '17, 08:34 silver mapper |
Likely creating a map on umap.openstreetmap.fr (or any other instance) and then embedding that on their website is the way to go, assuming that they will want to mark routes etc. answered 15 Aug '17, 09:36 SimonPoole ♦ Simon I thank you for your immediate reply and suggestion. I guess the family will wish to overlay OSM with the walking route(s). We shall look at that site in detail - it looks positive, certainly, at first glance.
