Maritime border of Peru

3

Peru's top-level administrative boundary currently uses the Peruvian EEZ instead of the territorial waters. Is the current boundary correct?

You should discuss that with the Peruvian community: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject_Peru

I have asked the talk-pe mailing list (which is quite low-activity). However, shouldn't the rules for territorial waters be the same for every country?

Due to the lack of response here, I passed the message to general Talk list:

Although that page (the wiki) is fairly low-activity, there are some more contact details at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/ES:Per%C3%BA/Comunidad . Some of those users at least are still active and regularly respond to questions.

Another thing I'd suggest would be to ask the person who made the change about it in a changeset discussion comment (in a friendly way, not an "I think X is wrong" way).
