Hi.

I did some research and also checked taginfo and tag features pages and read other forums but couldn't find straight answer to my question.

I am interested to know for example for City X, which has BBOX Y, how many Tags are used sorted based on popularity... I want to compare 5 cities but really dont know which tool can help.

Of course with some programming efforts, you can set BBOX and then get planet_osm for that region and then count tags and so on..

But is there a tool existing for that or even any easier method to do that?

Anyone has any idea?

Perhaps Crowd Lens can help you ? When it was presented it had only a limited number of towns in it. I have no idea how up-to-date the data behind the tools is. Perhaps you can contact to team behind the tool to allow you to use it for other places ?

Thanks for the answer..I knew Crowd Lens.. But first of all it is not for all places and as you said, it is not easy jump on the bus to ask them to implement for other cities...secondly, I think crowdlens is about crowd and the concentration of crowds.. what I want is more simple: for example in Melbourne: How many Tags exist and used for how many features (objects) I want to quickly compare some cities with each other

taginfo is good but give global data not specific city..if possible to filter statistics in taginfo, then it was great.
