How to use new Auto filters in JOSM 12443

I've watched the screencast instructions many times and cannot get filter buttons to display. Is there a way to slow down the screencast so I can follow what is happening. Especially in the sequence after the data is downloaded and the mouse jumps around the screen and the filter buttons appear.

Note: I've assigned a hot key "H" to the old filter icon so I don't have to "ALT-Shift-F" Also, in "Edit-Preferences-Display Settings-OSM Data" Use Auto filters was already checked.
