Is there a way to display the OSM so it displays only the of the world? If so, then how?

I am using OSM through OpenLayers.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a case for a "thematic data extract" actually, but I don't see anything at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Planet.osm#Global_thematic_extracts or http://openstreetmapdata.com/data .

@SomeoneElse Well, I just want to have a map with only border lines so that the landscape and the sea is in the same color (for example black) and the lines (coastlines/ border lines) are in another color (for example white).

Use Natural Earth data (it's what OSM uses itself for the smallest scales).
