Plotting data on my tile server

Hi Guys,

I have followed this tutorial https://switch2osm.org/manually-building-a-tile-server-16-04-2-lts/ and created my own map tile server. I would like plot some data on it (like for example heat map) so that my data is scaling along with map when I zoom out / zoom in. Can you please give me a hint of how to do it?
