Hi

I wish to download some OSM data & convert it to GPX. In that file I want the data to be colour coded depending on the values of certain tags.

I looked at using Overpass Turbo with MapCSS but I couldn't see a way to export to a GPX with the colour coding. I'm stumped.

Are there ways to do this?

Apologies if this is a silly question, but colour coding in what? Mapsource? JOSM? GPSBabel?

Well, when I asked the question I was thinking 'anything software that takes a GPX file, but on further reading it appears the GPX colours or symbols aren't standard. Even within Garmin products there seems to be variation.
