I want to correctly tag a shop that is both a bakery and a convenience store (without one role being more important than the other).

I've seen that there is the possibility to use several values for the shop tag, but it should be avoided (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Multiple_values ). Should I use shop=bakery;convenience ?

Currently, there are 2 nodes for the same shop, which is not correct.

IMHO, the two nodes are not that bad. Maybe it is tagging for the data consumer, but at least now people will find the place when they look for either a bakery or a convenience store. With the semi-colon notation, not of the popular navigation apps will find the place I think.

If it's two shops (= two cashiers) within one building or room I would leave the two nodes as they are.

Otherwise I would go with the shop offering the wider variety and since I'd expect a convenience store to also sell bread (not necessarily fresh or unpacked) I'd tag this place as a convenience store. One could add a shop:bakery=yes as an additional hint but that is no standard tagging.

another reason to keep 2 nodes is in case both shop types have a common subtag (e.g. organic, second_hand, etc.) but different values for them.
