I want to export a map of a larger area - not just a city. Mapz.com offer exactly this and it is very easy to use. The only problem is they charge 1,000 for one map.

How can I get a map of an area of 100 km2 as a vector. It just needs to be of roads and outlines of green areas etc. Not the super technical maps when zooming in to a city.

Hi

Check out the following link:

  1. http://download.geofabrik.de/ - This will allow you to download in .shape file (which is vector).

Hi, if you need minor streets, paths ect. for vector maps the files could be very large .. there is a user-defined vector map service - also with greens (Classic Style) - also for larger area maps
