The open street map could be used with portable GPS of Oregon 550 which is made by Garmin? If so, how can i download it?

You can check what information we have about different Garmin units on our wiki. The Oregon units are perfectly compatible.

There are many different places you can download maps from, depending on what kind of map you want - driving, hiking, cycling, general purpose - which part of the world you want, how often you want it updated and so on. Have a look, again at the wiki, in the Garmin downloads section.
