Geocoding is not working today: For example: http://locationiq.org/v1/search.php?key=a45967969bf948902a2a&format=json&q=gdansk&accept-language=en - returns empty string

That is for almost all cities

Is it for along time?

locationiq is a commercial service using OSM data, but outside of that not associated with OSM, please ask the question in their support channels (see https://unwiredlabs.com/contact ).
