Something has broken. I can no longer select existing areas. I can hover and the area becomes highlighted, but that's it. I can't select or delete and no editing options appear. I have tried several browsers, same result. asked 30 Jan '17, 11:42 mapping man aseerel4c26 ♦

It is working for me with Win10 pc
Does this happen wherever you edit the map, or in one place in particular?
Can you tell us your OS and browser version(s)?
Windows 10 64. I have tried Chrome, Firefox and Vivaldi. All three present the same issue. Chrome is a fresh install with no extensions.
Win 10 64 and Chrome just allowed me to highlight and delete a tiny wooded triangular area. I didn't save it of course. Are you sure all your keyboard keys are working ok, i had an iffy keyboard a while back.
please could you use the "add new comment" link to add your comment? The "answer" here is for answers (solutions) to the question. Thank you! :-)
I am having the same problem
From @mapping man
Yes, wherever I edit the map. Different browsers too.
I'm not the only one either https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/issues/3805

I have got a similar issue, which only started yesterday after a week of successful mapping. The pink box is not displaying to outline the area I am mapping, and if I map a building the editing options e.g. to square off the building, are not appearing. Help!
I have tried deleting browser history, logging out & starting again, different maps, different imagery, to no avail. I am using the latest version of Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit)
