There are several wooded conservation areas in my area, which are already marked on OSM with imports. While surveying the area, I sometimes see steel signs in the woods, which mark the area boundary. I can put the GPS location of these signs into OSM, as they are useful for navigation. However, I am not sure what tags to use.

I also find signs like these or posts helpful when trying to locate or assist others to locate the start of bushwalking/hiking or mtb tracks as well as conveying the intended information.
I don't know what the correct answer is but suggest that sign=yes, sign=information, sign=nature_reserve, sign=notice, sign=description may assist. Pehaps man_made=sign, sign=* is a better way to tag them.
I expect they unlikely to render on the standard maps.
The usual tourism and traffic signs are not suitable.

I usually map nature reserves as an area. You can add a list of tags with source=information_sign

On finding these sign images online, I did see that the websites selling them were not representing the organizations on the signs. I suspect there are private citizens that post official-looking boundary markers, so the location of these signs does not necessarily indicate the sourced-information matches the named organization on the sign.
