I'm looking for the old administrative boundary of the following town:

  • boundary = administrative
  • ref:INSEE = 86267
  • name = Targé
  • name:fr = Targé

This town boundary is no longer mapped because the town merged with another one on 1972-06-01.

Would this boundary exist in OSM database? Any advice to make sure about this and how to access to it?

Many thanks.

Given that OSM was conceived 32 years after the town ceased to exist, it would seem to be extremely unlikely that we have boundaries for it. I would suggest trying to contact openstreetmap.fr they may be able to give you a pointer to a source for the boundary.

Some background information: OSM doesn't contain historic objects. There are a few exceptions but mainly in cases where there are still some remains visible on the ground.
