You need to visit the page of the relevant proposal and see if the voting stage is open. I think shelter type is the only proposal with voting open currently. If you visit that page and scroll down to the Voting section you will see the information about how to vote on that proposal, the key bit being
so you would click [edit] to the right of the Voting title, scroll down to the end of the section and add either

The ~~~~ bit inserts your wiki login name and the date and time you voted. You will have to have created a wiki login and logged in before being able to edit, as these are different from the OSM login. Voting on any proposal is done in a similar way, but not all remember to include such helpful instructions as on the shelter type one. answered 27 May '11, 13:00 EdLoach ♦ Thanks for the info. It's better to accept using the accept button than close the question: then other users can see that the question has an accepted answer, and is therefore highly likely to be useful. Note that EdLoach seems to be pretty good at giving useful answers too!
