Hi members, may someone help me to get the procedures of using OSM offline? asked 22 Dec '16, 07:23 Bernard mkenda aseerel4c26 ♦ |
It largely depend on which device you want to use OSM. The website on osm.org cannot be used offline as far as I know. However, since OSM is basicly a large database, there are some possibilities to use an offline map. The wiki page Offline OpenStreetMap lists a number of ways to do so. There are several apps for smartphones that offer you take a part of the world in your pocket: Maps.me, OsmAnd to name a couple. answered 22 Dec '16, 08:13 escada Thanks, let me try.

The answer to this depends on - what you want to do - what equipment you have available Obviously the simplest and easiest way to use OSM offline is to simply print a map, but I suspect that was not what you wanted to know.
