Answers to: Interesting Questions on Geometry on Earthhttps://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/53449/interesting-questions-on-geometry-on-earth
Everyone knows that Earth is not flat in nature. Therefore, Cartesian Coordinate Plane (Rectangular Coordinate Plane) formulae are not suitable for coordinate geometry on OSM.

May I ask how to calculate the following 3 items:
1. Distance between 2 points and their bearing.
2. The coordinates of a point from a point with given distance and bearing.
3. The coordinates of the intersection point of any 2 lines.

Thanks!
enSat, 10 Dec 2016 09:25:49 +0000Answer by Frederik Rammhttps://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/53449/interesting-questions-on-geometry-on-earth/53451
These questions are not OpenStreetMap specific and answers can easily be found with search engines (or, failing that, on gis.stackexchange.com).
Frederik RammSat, 10 Dec 2016 09:25:49 +0000https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/53449/interesting-questions-on-geometry-on-earth/53451
