amenity=marketplace is how I usually see it tagged in the US.

To me a marketplace is something completely different. At a flea market the vendors are usually private people and the products that are sold are often second-hand.

A flea market is not permanent present. A flea market uses occasionaly parking areas or other places, for example a parking house. So I added to the existing items in osm a additional tag market:flea_market:opening_hours:url=https://www.marktcom.de. It is possible to get the locations with OSM TagInfo. A Rendering in a regulary map is a overkill.

According to taginfo the are 21 cases of shop=flea_market and 2 cases of amenity=car_boot_sale. This is not very robust statistics to base a decision on.
