For example, node 2998872922 is part of way 26231131 and part of way 29509614. However, these two ways do not actually intersect: way 29509614 is just a bridge over way 26231131 (and the node appears at the lat-long coordinates where they cross, even though they don't intersect).

Is this correctly represented on OSM? Or is this an editing error?
enThu, 06 Oct 2016 20:21:41 +0100Answer by Alecs01https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/52382/can-two-ways-share-a-node-if-they-do-not-intersect/52383
It's a mistake, a node in common between two roads means there is an intersection.
Alecs01Thu, 06 Oct 2016 20:21:41 +0100https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/52382/can-two-ways-share-a-node-if-they-do-not-intersect/52383
