Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

How much disk space is currently necessary to load planet with psm2pgsql? Preferably in terms of both peak use during loading, and then afterward. I see one entry on benchmarks from 2013 saying 194GB[1] and then an answer here saying 700GB, also in 2013[2]. What disk is necessary in 2016?
