I'm not sure how to tag a shop that rents out construction equipment. The specific shop I'm talking about is Sunbelt Rentals.

I was thinking of tagging it as shop=hardware or shop=doityourself (leaning towards hardware due to not a big size and scope), but I think it's not correct. Since this is a rental service, maybe an amenity tag instead?

A search for one of the largest such chains in the UK suggests shop=tool_hire as probably the most popular value (excluding hardware, doityourself, etc.). For Sunbelt Rentals itself, previously mapped ones seem to have been mostly hardware or doityourself.

I had a look at all of the values used for shops in that space (in the UK) a few months ago, and for map rendering purposes grouped them together.

'shop=tool_hire' has been used a few times. (Edited - 'hire' rather than 'rental was what I meant to say. Only realised my error when reading subsequent post. Used 63 times according to Taginfo)
