Hi, I want to prepare a chart in R Studio using library with access to Open Street Map. A final chart will be heavily modified (coloured) map and exported to jpg file, then put into commercial brochure/raport. Is this free or must I put a reference (credit) to OSM? Thanks for clarifying, B. asked 31 May '16, 14:02 Lebo44 |
It is free and you must put attribution. See our wiki page on the license for details. answered 31 May '16, 16:44 Frederik Ramm ♦ |
IANAL, but crediting OSM in the image should be sufficient - see e.g. the image at http://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright , specifically this: http://www.openstreetmap.org/assets/attribution_example-937610fe671db6f42d3666d91fd7a1b1035d0df26066b890e4c007a314fc2da3.png
meta @Piskvor: that's an "answer", could you please post it as such? (conversion does not work due to technical problems)
