which distance measurement? Which website? Which program? Which tool? Please describe.

On what software or smart phone app? (The underlying OSM data is all based on lat/lon so it is agnostic with respect to miles versus kilometers, that is determined by the software that renders the data or uses it for routing.)

In a field that requires entry in km such as the speed limit, append mph to the end of the number. For example, instead of Speed Limit 80, use Speed Limit 50 mph.
