Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

I was looking at this, and then I realized: According to the OSM export, SRTM says I live in Antarctica, and not Canada. Is the SRTM backwards, or OSM? They only match up if I flip OSM's long/lat.

This type of query has been done to death on various GIS forums. Both lat first & long first are in common usage: you just have to adapt to the convention used by a particular tool or dataset.
