Am a first time user. Using the basic editor, registered user and signed in. I was trying to extend an existing road to meet another road as part of an industrial sub-division. Clicked the Line button (what does Shortcut 1,2 etc mean?) and selected the last point on one road, lftClk then picked up the end of the other road and again lftClk. Hit Esc to stop editing, then notated the road as a Tertiary road. Clicked the Save button which appears to show the edit has been saved but when I go to my Profile there are no edits to my name and no changes to the map. What am I missing? Thanks asked 15 Apr '16, 21:47 npyachtsman aseerel4c26 ♦ |
Yes, there are no edits from you currently. This list would update immediately. After clicking the save button, did you enter a changeset comment and click save (in the sidebar) again? answered 15 Apr '16, 22:11 aseerel4c26 ♦ 1
Thank you! Adding a Comment then clicking the Save for the Comment uploaded the change.

I guess you have used the editor "iD", right? Identification: Currently 1.9.2 in the lower right corner?
Welcome to OSM! :-) Great that you are helping!
please could you ask a new question for the "Shortcut" thing?
Yes 1.92 in lower right corner. Have just worked out the "Shortcut 2". Hitting "2" activates the line editor
