Hi I have some imagery from the City of Sitka that is in the public domain and publicly available here http://dggs.alaska.gov/file_transfer/CityOfSitka_data/LiDAR%20Originals/ I would like to make it easy for others in my area to use this as a background for editing in OSM. I would suggest contacting openstreetmap.us that. if I'm correctly informed, run an imagery server for the US. Alternatively the OSMF has some limited capacity to do the same. That's a good idea. I've decided to upload what I can as mbtiles to my Mapbox account. I can't upload all the imagery I want, but it will work for now. Thanks.
