I downloaded a couple of map data from an Android app, which is based on OSM. However, there is no iOS version for the app. Is this possible to transfer the data from Android to iPhone?

Which Android app? If we know what data it uses, we might be able to work out. Most phone apps use their own proprietary data formats but some do use common ones.

While one could possibly transfer the data (may need root access), they will not really be be useful on the other OS, due to lack of a viewer app.

How should transferring the data to your iPhone help if there is no corresponding app available?

Instead take a look at our wiki page about iOS. There are lots of different OSM-based apps available.

To answer your original question: If it is the same app for Android and iOS then it might work. This solely depends on the specific app and there is no general answer possible.
