Hello. Can i use osmdroid to save my offline maps in a sqlite db and after show offline some POIS and get distances beetween my location and the location of the POIS? From a research i figure out that osmdroid not support offline searching for POIS. Is that true? Its better to search for Mapforge?

Thank u in advance.

You can have a look at the following opensource android apps to see how other developers did their work:

Osmand, Maps.Me, Navit, Pocketmaps , ZANavi ...

also see Mapsforge-Applications.md, OSMSharp and Android in the OSM wiki.

Cruiser and Atlas are mapsforge based with POI serach feature, but closed source.
