I got a message from another mapper that one of my edits was missing tags. This is the URL: https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?way=28843411#map=17/37.48628/-108.88208 . When I clicked on "Edit," I got a message that an error had occurred and I should post to this page. Is ID still down? Thanks.

Can you quote the exact error message you are receiving? And does this link work? https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?editor=id#map=17/37.48628/-108.88208

SCAI,

Sorry, I didn't copy the exact wording. I got it twice, then decided to post. Right after posting this question, I tried again, and ID was working. Apparently (at least from the US list), this has happened a few times in the last week. Server overload?

@techlady: umm, well, so your link above is working now? It is not for me. (also see my answer)

I get a HTTP 500 error (if I set iD as my default editor or specify it with the editor=id GET parameter) - not from iD but from the rails application server.

The linked way has been deleted 8 hours ago (4 before you posted here). See https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/28843411 . You cannot edit a deleted way with iD. This is the location of one of its previous nodes.

If you need further help, just comment or open a new question (if it rather is a new issue).
