Hello,

what is the appropriate way of tagging a building, which consists of several parts? Each part bears an own housenumber. I tried "building=yes" for the complete building, "building:part=yes addr:housenumber=78 addr:street=Poststraße", but openstreetmap (standard view) does not show the house number.

(Well, I know "don't tag for the renderer" ...)

Thanks in advance

Dirk

I've found that rendering for building:part tagging is inconsistent right now. Here is one existing issue for osm-carto related to your question: https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto/issues/1746

Dirk Baakstanier, try this methode http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/52.35582/6.66787 each shop gets its own number together with the appartments on top of it. Or this one an even larger shopping centre called Hoog Catharijne, http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/52.09077/5.11401
