How do you tag an advanced cycle stop line or cycle box at traffic lights (uk style).

1

Hi, and some other contributers have been trying to figure out the best way to mark advanced stoplines or cycle boxs on streets where the roads are being areaised for better rendering of small location maps (ie entrances outside a building, navigating pedestians across junctions or showing a spacific parking space etc.).

I've looked at some of the lanes proposals and the streetarea auto lineing propsal and before I make a hyper-complex form of multiple lane changes and enfrce relationships with cazy relationships or something I wondered if seeing as these are not uncommon in the world weather others have solved this problem in a simple way I can use as a good template. for the meny I may have to add to OSM soon?

Some explanatry links:-

Wikipedia on the feature

old goverment paper on the subject

The changeset comments page we've been discussing on (that contains futher links to the other feature propsals I've been looking at {- and the renders described in them that I'm tring to support}

It would help me a lot to be consistant with other standard already worked out for the benifit of end users.

I'd suggest doing it like this. Just a node, tagged cycleway=asl, on the linear way.
