I'm mapping a building in my neighbourhood which is called 'Wadham Gospel Hall'. It's quite an old building and I'm sure it's had various occupants over the years-- the current one is the 'Rivers of Life Church'.

My question is, should I use the 'name' tag to tag the name of the building itself, or its present occupant? Or to put it another way, how do I get both sets of information tagged? There doesn't seem to be a separate tag for a building name specifically that I have seen.

The building name tag should be "Wadham Gospel Hall", the occupant name belongs on whatever POI you decide to add for "Rivers of Life Church". You will need to create a separate node in the building outline for the later.

I thought that might be it, thanks Simon.

It's not ideal, as there's lots of information that applies to both 'Wadham Gospel Hall' and 'Rivers of Life Church', eg. address information. I don't see any easy way of associating that info with both with duplicating it (which is obviously a big no-no).

Like stated in Simon's answer I would add all "Wadham Gospel Hall"-related information to the building outline and all "Rivers of Life Church"-related information to a node inside the building. You don't necessarily need to duplicate the address for the node because it is located within the building. Reasonable geocoders should handle this correctly.

Consider using operator=Rivers of Life Church, website=http://www.riversoflife.co.uk/ they might have all there activities listed.

If the building is named that, then tag the building that way. If there is a church in there that occupies all of the building, you can add a node and tag that node. It's not ideal, but it isn't wrong
