Hi, taking a question from http://forum.mapfactor.com/discussion/6883/flaw-when-turning-on-same-road#Item_1 to this forum to see if it is OSM map related.

Please have a look at this navigation:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/directions?engine=osrm_car&route=46.77741%2C15.52429%3B46.77636%2C15.52410#map=19/46.77691/15.52411

That's about what I experience with MapFactor: no indication for taking a turn.

Whose fault?

Of the two car routers available on the main OSM map page mapquest seems to do a good job even though osrm is not so good in this particular place.

It's the same for graphhopper, it also doesn't give any hints to make a left turn. I guess most routes will suppress giving such hints if the road name doesn't change.

alt text This is what mapquest does, so i suspect osm data is OK.
