Can I ask for some clarification on how OSM data is protected from sabotage? So if someone was to go an make malicious changes (deleting roads for example that are present), is there any process to detect and revert this? |

Search for "vandalism" on this forum for some hints. See for example this. There is no sabotage protection present, but a lot of people do keep an eye on the map using numerous tools. And you can revert changes using a JOSM plugin, and get help here or by contacting the Data Working Group (DWG). In practice, vandalism isn't very common, though it does sometimes take very long to be detected. @Scott07: Also see the question about our data-verification-process - quite the same, isn't it? :-)
