Hi, I downloaded OSM on my phone in order to use it when trekking the Peaks of the Balkan trail. I can manually search main waypoints on the map but can't find the Peaks of the Balkan trail, though I understood there suppose to be such an option. I'd really appreciate your help!

What do you mean?

You say you "downloaded OSM on your phone", but what does this actually mean? Did you download an app that uses OSM data (perhaps OsmAnd, perhaps something else) or did you already have something on your phone and downloaded OSM data (perhaps as map tiles, perhaps as something else) to go with it?

So we're talking about OsmAnd apparently. Ste the map view to Pedestrian. Tap the Map layers button (top left of the screen). Scroll all the way down. Among "Other attributes", you will find the option to show Hiking routes.

If you want to highlight a specific route, it might be more practical to download the GPX of that route. With a service like http://www.waymarkedtrails.org you can zoom to your area of interest, show the available routes, choose your route of interest and download as GPX. To show it in Osmand, move the file to the folder osmand/tracks on your Android device. Than you will be able to pick it in Map Layers>GPX-track.
