I am using latest IPad. I get the message Geolocation denied when I use the location arrow on the right of the map. I DONOT get this message on an older version of iPad. I have looked at iPad settings and cannot identify any switch or block to the geolocation facility. What do I have to do to get the arrow to work?

I assume you are asking about the website on openstreetmap.org.

While I can't check first hand, this is undoutably a setting in the browser: see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204690 (the link is for OS X but I assume it is similar on your iPad).

Whilst what SimonPoole mentions (location services turned off for Safari across the board) is possible, it's perhaps more likely that you've just tapped "no" on a location prompt when the openstreetmap.org website asked previously.

On an iPad running 8.4 the answer seems to be "Settings / General / Reset Location & Privacy / Reset". You'll then get two prompts - one for Safari, one for OpenStreetMap.org, and you need to allow both.

The downside is that this resets ALL location prompts. The relevant Apple article is here. There a list of applications using location in "Settings / Privacy" but there appears to be no way to list or reset individual websites ("Safari Websites" is just one item).
