My new trail appears then disappears then re appears while zooming in and out. Did I upload it incorrectly?

The trail is called Sir Good Martin in North Vancouver.

It's normal. See this previous answer for details of exactly how the map gets updated.

Nothing is wrong here. It's merely an artifact of how OSM makes the images for the main map ("renders" them).

Basically when it has rendered an image, it saves it for a little while and uses that 'old' image for a while. When you zoom in, those are new images, and might be rendered with newer data. This can mean that different zoom levels appear to be inconsistant, a feature, like a trail, appearing and disappearing at different zoom levels.

In a while, all the images will be too old and the OSM servers will re-render all the images and they'll include your trail on all zoom levels. The problem will basically go away after a while.
