How should OS bench marks - used to record altitude - be tagged? man_made=survey_point seems sensible, but this appears to be for trig points, rather than cut marks in walls.

Hi uoo3f, consider using survey_point:type=altitude and a trig_point as survey_point:type=trig_point.

I think benchmark and triangulation might be better than altitude and trig_point for the values--they both have some usage and are used in nautical maps, apparently. You could also use survey_point= instead of survey_point:type= for the key, neither is widely used.
