When viewing the transport layer, it's showing bus numbers that start with a number, not not those routes that start with a letter. More and more bus routes seem to be going in the style of letter-number-number such as B23 and L2 - is there a way to get the transport layer to show the numbers on these routes?

The transport layer is a product of http://www.thunderforest.com/ you need to submit a bug report with them (or rather with Andy) http://www.thunderforest.com/contact/

Thanks, that worked a treat. They have identified that there might be a bug with the mapnik rendering library with routes that involve loops, and they are working towards the fix.

Have a look at Öpnvkarte as an alternative. If you compare a typical urban area with the same area on the transport layer, there are several more route numbers including some with letter prefixes.

Unfortunately that website seems to be way out of date, it's showing stuff I know were removed over a year ago, and for changes made in the last year, it's 50/50 on whether it shows or not in the various zoom levels, with fragmented tiles making it appear quite atrocious. Pity really, as it would have been great otherwise.
