Hello, I work in a music shop, selling wind instruments (and accessories) and with a workshop to repair the instruments. I have tagged the activity with shop=musical_instrument How to add the "repair" activity to this tag ?

For bicycle shops there is the option of adding additional tags like;

service:bicycle:repair=yes

service:bicycle:retail=yes

from: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:shop%3Dbicycle#Additional_keys

Would something similar be suitable for musical instrument shops that offer repair service?

(sorry, I put this as a comment rather than an answer first)

There doesn't seem to be a tag for just repair. But if we look at the car tag and the motorcycle tag. Both say they sell and repair. There doesn't seem to be anything in the amenity tag or the craft tag. As of now there doesn't seem to be a way to tag music repair shop

I think you could just use the tag 'repair=yes/welcome/only_sold' - see this wiki http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:repair

I've certainly used 'repair=yes' for computer shops which I've added to the map.
