Nominatim API seems down

I have done a Nominatim request this morning, and the server seems down.

Does anyone know what happens?

In such cases it is better to ask via IRC in #osm and/or #osm-dev.

One Answer:

There have been server issues recently, and the sysadmins have been working on the configuration of the Nominatim server this morning.

As scai says, asking on IRC is the best place to get answers for transient questions such as this.
