We wish to reuse your data and so, as stipulated by yourselves, we will re licence using CCSA 2.0 but at the end of the Creative Commons licence, it states we should use the New version: CC-BY-SA 3.0 “unported”. (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/). Do we have to use this one instead of V2? asked 31 Mar '11, 15:08 cornwallis |
If you are building on or adapting OSM data, you can use 2.0 or any later licence. There is no "should" or "have to" about it - you can use whichever one suits you best. Creative Commons are not your lawyers and they're not OSM's lawyers either. answered 31 Mar '11, 17:04 Richard ♦ |
That is a question that should be answered by the people at Creative Commons. OpenStreetMap is just a user of a Creative Commons licence and in no position to tell others which license is best. answered 31 Mar '11, 16:27 petschge |
