When using the tag shop=sports it is recommended that the supplementary tag sport=(v) be added to indicate which sport(s) the shop caters for. Would it be acceptable to tag the shop with sports=(v) (sports plural) to avoid these warnings or is that too much like 'tagging for the renderer' ? Or should I just tag with sport=(v) and ignore the warnings? Example here http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3408156724 asked 20 Mar '15, 04:12 NZGraham |
I wouldn't change anything, IMHO the tagging is correct and the validators should be adapted. The same problem occurs for club=sport, sport(v). answered 20 Mar '15, 06:04 escada 2
If a particular validator returns false positives, then do mention it to the maintainer of the software. In my experience, the maintainers of both JOSM and keepright have responded very quickly to even minor issues such as these.
