Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

I ran into difficulties in Spain with an overpass that had been broken down hafway. This is correctly mapped in Open Streetmap.org, but not in the OSMAND+ android app. As I would be more useful the other way around, I would laike to ask for updates in OSMAND+ much more frequently

This is basically a feature request to a software provider and is better directed at the OSMAND forum.

If maps with the most current data from OSM are really important for your needs then you probably need to create your own. See details of OsmAndMapCreator on the wiki for how to do this.

This is the wrong place for OSMand support, I believe they provide support via their forum: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/osmand

Note on the side, for the more popular countries the OSMand developers provide updates every fortnight, which would ssem to be quite frequent, however if that is not often enough you can create your own maps with OsmAndMapCreator.

Osmand maps start a new generation cycle every 10 days on the 10th, 20th and 30th of the month, and usually takes several days to complete. That said, if you want it right now, you might try OsmAndMapCreator
