uMap Rendering Order of Features Within a Layer

Looking at some of the elements on a uMap I am not finding a commonality for the rendering order.

In particular how is the rendering order of features within a layer determined ?

The rendering order does not appear to be alphanumeric, nor does it appear to be based on last edited feature.

As the wiki page on uMap indicates, you might have more support for your uMap related questions on the mailing list, especially if you are asking implementation details as you did here.

I find there is way too much noise in mailing lists. I post enhancement requests at the bitbucket repository https://bitbucket.org/yohanboniface/umap/issues , but perhaps it's better to post this kind of query there too.
