Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

Hi,

Could someone point me at the guidelines for how maritime boundaries are defined and edited?

I wanted to edit this area: http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/1.3102/104.3823

As the lighthouse (Pedra Branca) belongs to Singapore, so presumably there should be some Singaporean water in this area, but I've no idea what the protocol / legalities are... any guidance? Or did someone else want to do it for me? Or should I just leave well alone?

Thanks!

I would suggest participating in the discussion and putting your issue on the table here: http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=29724 (English is fine). The participants tend to have the most current information on sources of boundary information and probably give more pointers what to do than we here.
