I rather dislike this feature of the help site; it seems too much like social networking, and I really don't care when one of my questions has 100 views. Is there an option to disable these notifications?

There doesn't appear to be a user setting to change this. To change your other user settings you can click on your username at the very top of each page, then click "User tools" across from your gravatar (picture).

This isn't a question about OpenStreetMap, it's a question about the software that powers help.osm.org. Questions regarding features of the software should be asked in the OSQA discussion group at http://meta.osqa.net
