Hi everybody, would it be possible for one of the masterusers to add medical symbols for General practice (e.g. an asclepios sign (please: just one serpent, two are regarded Hermes in Europe!) Logopedics, Physiotherapy, Dentists, specialized physicians? At the moment, just "hospital" and "veterinarian" are available People should not consult a physiotherapy practice when looking for a hospital... Thanks a lot! Daniel

which symbols, where do you mean?

Embedded Potlatch 2 which I use does not have those new symbols and I do not know how to include them. Suppose this has to be done by the maintenance team of Potlatch

aseerel4c26: no, they should not add the symbols to the map but add them to potlatch to enable me and others to mark medical facilities correctly. Usually, a systematic approach is a good idea in cartography. People should not use random symbols to mark medical facilities and they are of hight interest - more than high voltage transformers, I suppose.

please... add "Potlatch 2" to your question (log in and use the "edit" link) if you mean Potlatch 2. My/our visionary powers are limited. ;-)

Do you mean on a map? Note that there are many map styles made of OpenStreetMap data. The procedure is quite equal for all: contact the designers (example for our "Standard" map style) of the map style and ask for an improvement there. If possible, even suggest tags and symbols. And after all, you can always make your own map style.

The standard Carto-CSS style has recently added icons/symbols for doctors & dentists:
